Hours of Operation
Robin’s Nest Playschool is open Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM until 11:00 PM to accommodate the needs of working families with varying schedules. Our extended hours provide parents and guardians with flexible childcare options while ensuring children receive quality care in a safe, nurturing, and structured environment throughout the day.
Children must be signed in and out daily by a parent, guardian, or authorized individual. For the safety and security of all children, only persons listed on the authorized pick-up form may remove a child from the center. Photo identification may be required for anyone unfamiliar to staff.
Holidays & Scheduled Closures
Robin’s Nest Playschool observes selected holidays throughout the year and may close periodically for staff training, professional development, facility maintenance, or special circumstances. Families will receive advance notice of all scheduled closures through written communication, email, text message, or other center communication methods.
Observed holidays may include:
- New Year’s Day
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day and the Friday following
- Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
- Additional Staff Development or Training Days
A yearly holiday and closure calendar will be provided to all enrolled families.
Emergency Closures
The safety of our children, families, and staff is our highest priority. Robin’s Nest Playschool reserves the right to close, delay opening, or dismiss early due to severe weather, power outages, natural disasters, public health emergencies, or other situations that may compromise safety. Families will be notified as soon as possible through phone calls, text messages, email, social media, or other communication platforms.
Late Pick-Up Policy
Children must be picked up no later than 11:00 PM. Parents who anticipate being late should contact the center immediately. Late pick-up fees may be assessed for children remaining after closing time. Repeated late pick-ups may result in additional fees or review of enrollment status.
Emergency Backup Care
To better serve our families, Robin’s Nest Playschool may offer Emergency Backup Care when space is available. This service is designed to assist families facing unexpected childcare needs due to school closures, caregiver illness, work emergencies, schedule changes, or other unforeseen circumstances. Availability is based on classroom capacity, staffing ratios, and compliance with state licensing requirements.
